Today Samantha will be sharing her favourite picks and how she’d style each look for various occasions.
How would you describe your style?
S: I would have to stay very feminine and flirty but also fun. I love soft and romantic silhouettes that help bring out the girly side of me.
What would be your ideal look for an upcoming ball?
S: I absolutely love an A-Line ball gown look. There’s just something about it that brings out the inner princess vibes in everyone. My favourite for this occasion has got to be the Friend of Audrey Breaking Dawn Dress. I was obsessed with this when I wore it last and didn’t want to take it off. It’s elegant and sophisticated but the transparent mesh overlay allows your legs to peek through giving it a sexy edge. Looooove this dress.
Obviously you’re based in Melbourne so you’d be quite familiar with just how cold the winter can be. As a guest, what would you wear to a winter wedding?
S: Attending any event can be tricky during the winter because escaping the cold is virtually impossible. Winter weddings can be especially tricky because you have to find a happy medium between being practical and dressing event appropriate. My pick would have to be the LOVER Rosebud Midi Twist Dress. The midi length is perfect because it’s sexy and sophisticated whilst still shielding those legs against the elements. Every inch helps, I promise. Black’s typically a very winter tone but the delicate lace softens the look giving it a more romantic feel. Throw on a simple cape blazer over the top and that should keep you warm during the ceremony (if it’s outside) before (hopefully) moving inside for the reception festivities.
What is your number one styling tip?
S: Honestly, just be confident in your style and what you wear… however, if you guys have seen my posts you’ll know I’m obsessed with headpieces. If it were up to me I’d wear them everyday!! I was actually eyeing off some of the Studio Aniss pieces earlier. I just think they’re a great alternative to wearing jewellery especially if it’s really not your thing.
Who is your favourite style icon and why?
S: Garry Pepper Girl! Hands down Nicole Warne is my idol. Her style is so whimsical it’s just out of this world. The way she’s able to capture the raw beauty in not only her outfits but the places she visits is crazy. Love her!
